Longtime friends and iconic pianists Elton John [ tickets ] and Leon Russell [ tickets ] have added a few more cities to the tour behind their forthcoming album "The Union."

Among the new dates on the itinerary is an Oct. 28 show in London, which will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2. Highlights from that show will make it into a television special titled "A Night In With Sir Elton John," which airs Oct. 30 on BBC Two. ...continued

"Band on the Run," the 1973 album from Paul McCartney [ tickets ] & Wings that went on become the band's most successful release, has been remastered for a reissue that's set to hit retailers Nov. 10.

According to a press release, McCartney "personally supervised" all aspects of the reissue. Remastering was completed at Abbey Road studios by the same team that remastered the Beatles catalog. ...continued

The animated British alt-rock outfit Gorillaz [ tickets ] has confirmed the guests that will be joining the band's lineup for its upcoming fall road trip, and also added support from Pharrell Williams' project N.E.R.D.

Confirmed guests for the Gorillaz lineup include De La Soul, Little Dragon, Bootie Brown, Kano and Bobby Womack, as well as Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of the Clash. ...continued

Power-pop outfit Fountains of Wayne [ tickets ] will stop by clubs along the East and West coasts this fall ahead of a new studio album due in stores early next year.

The Grammy-nominated group, comprised of guitarist/keyboardist Chris Collingwood, bassist Adam Schlesinger, guitarist Jody Porter and drummer Brian Young, will begin on the West Coast with a Sept. 30 show in San Diego. Following two more California performances, the band will head east, taking the stage in six clubs before wrapping up with an Oct. 14 show in Portland, ME. Weezer [ tickets ] is planning a U.S. tour for November and December, but the focus won't be on the band's newly released "Hurley" album. Instead, the group will tackle its two most acclaimed albums on an outing dubbed the "Blinkerton Tour."

According to Epitaph Records, two shows are planned in each market the tour visits. The first night will feature a track-by-track performance of Weezer's 1994 self-titled debut album (also known as the "Blue Album"), and the second will feature 1696's "Pinkerton." ...continued
