Shelby Lynne, Allison Moorer plot first tour together
Sisters Shelby Lynne [ tickets ] and Allison Moorer will perform together on a short tour, a first for the two singers. Their first performance on the "Side By Side Tour" will be Oct. 3 at the 10th annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. During the all-acoustic shows, Lynne and Moorer will accompany one another as they perform songs from throughout their careers, along with a few cover songs. Interpol shows off new songs
Judging by the five new songs Interpol [ tickets ] performed at a private showcase Monday (9/6) in Santa Monica, CA, the New York band's sound hasn't changed much on its first release in three years. In one of their first shows since the recent exit of bassist Carlos D, the indie rockers performed "Success," "Summer Well," "Lights," "Try It On" and "Barricade" from the new album at Apogee Studios, the professional home of producer Bob Clearmountain. Hinder's Austin Winkler talks "The All-American Nightmare"
For their forthcoming album "The All-American Nightmare," rockers Hinder [ tickets ] decided to mix it up a bit by pushing themselves during the writing process and hiring a new producer. Singer Austin Winkler says he couldn't be any more pleased with the outcome. "I'm ecstatic about the album," Winkler said via telephone between drags of a cigarette and sips of beer on a recent day off in Nashville. "It's different, babe.
