Hello and welcome.

I am a 32-year-old guy who have been playing this game since the beginning. I tried many chars, realms and guilds and now I returned to the first server and my first char I started playing with in 02/2005. (Its been a while hehe)

As you can see Im not a kid any more, I have a wife, kids, a full-time job so I only play in the evenings, 1-2 hours a day. I always loved being in guilds but found it hard to find a decent one. Especially to find one fitting my very casual playing style.

Now I have created a guild here called Sabre for me and my alts, but then I thought it would be a good idea to find some more likeminded players to chat with and to have someone around to ask for help killing an elite or cut a gem. (Or buy a glyph from ;) )

So who am I looking for?

- If you are someone with limited playing time who like to solo alone but wouldnt mind a helping hand now and then
- If you cannot join raiding guilds because you have a family, job, other hobbies and you dont feel like logging in every day
- If you only do pvp somewhere between 20 mins and 4 hours a day but you think it would be cool to have some folks around to share your triumph and achivements with
- If you love this game and you would like to have a small community of grown-up people to chat with and/or sometime to do things together (like group quests or bgs)
- If you dont mind that theres nobody talking on guildchat for hours ;) but also you dont mind if a few guild members have a chat about their last gulch failure (or success)
- if you feel as an outsider in your current guild because you cant really relate to the kids there

Guild aims:

- well there are no aims really beside finding a few players to hang around with. (If there are only 4-5 guild members thats ok too)
- we may gather and do dungeons, heroics, bgs or even 10-men raids but nothing ever is compulsory
- its not aim of the guild to provide guild instance runs regularly but of course everybody is free to organize a run here on the forums or ingame (guild chat or the new calendar system)
- The guild really would be a loose society of players who love this game but cant commit that much time other regular guilds require
- Together we will have better chance to get group quests done, do instances, heroics or premade bgs.

Ruryk (Aggramar)

The above post was my original recruitment post on the Aggramar forums a few months ago.

Since then the guild has expanded a bit with a few very nice, relaxed guys. As of January 2008 we have 3 level 70 chars actively pvp-ing and 3 players in their lower levels. Our average age is around 30 meaning that theres no leet talk on the guild chat but it doesnt mean that we always talk about the most serious questions of the universe.

I think everybody here is very helpful, we play wow as a game, mostly in the evening hours. So if you are looking for a home and you dont expect much from a guild beside providing you a small society, come and whisper me or any member online.

We accept any levels after a little conversion with you. Im easy accepting anyone in the guild as long as he behaves mature. It doesnt mean that we recruit randomly because I will remove anybody who threatens the peace of the guild.

Looking forward to meet you online ;)

Ruryk (Mirkador)

Oh we are looking for more arena players as we are addicted to pvp right now:)

Yes I copy pasted it from the original forums, so that we had some sort of welcome/info message here. It's a good one, so I think we can keep it on here :).

Hey guys!
Noticed your post on the official forums, browsing for a new server to transfer to.
Got a bit caught by how nice you wrote and how good it felt reading about sabre and the nice laid back attitude within WoW, same as we feel.

We are three players. Me, my girlfriend and our friend.
Together we created an alliance guild on Darksorrow for about two years ago.
After we were closing in on 60 and wanted to do something more, like try raid and so on we joined a very friendly guild with the same goal as we had, to explore the raid world a bit in a slow pace together with being very friendly and casual while doing it.

However when the expansion came it became a wee bit too much 'me me me', and more or less all of us three got really bored with the game, and the guild lost too much friendly touch and became more focused on raiding/reputation hunt for instances instead of having a good time.

To make a long story short, we quitted almost a year ago and are back together now :)
We started hordies on server Zenedar, which did dissappoint us so big that we are now transferring.
Reading up on wow-eu forums (and guilds) we got interested of the nice attitude of Ruryks post.

However, we would like to know more about the server, hence we already got some info on Sabre itself =)
1. How is the ratio, are there hard to find 5-mans as hordies?
2. Lag issues? Seen a couple of "Laggramar" posts on the forums.
3. English...can people speak english? And what kind of countries does people come from on the server? (Our biggest reason to transfer, Zenedar is half Russian/Saudi Arabian. Dont get me wrong, I have no problem with that, but its impossible to get a 5-man and being able to communicate with all players).
4. Any other information we might benefit from about the server? :)

1. As usual there seems to be a lack of tanks, as they're always asking for one in wispers or in the LFG channel ;). The guild itself now almost has an instance group (lacking a tank for now I think, though we have a lower lvl warrior climbing his way up), there are more and more people online regularly.

2. Every now and then it can be a bit laggy, especially the battleground, hasnt been bad for quite a while though.

3. No problems there. We are in a battlegroup with Warsong, so you might see some russian when you're in a battleground ;).

4. Its an old server, so there are plenty of people around with a truck load of gold. So lvl 19 blue weapons are 100g for example ;). Also not too much for sale under lvl 60. Think it's a very nice server though, never had many problems with anyone.

Hope this answers your questions a bit ;). I am sure we'll see you in game when you have created a few characters to check things out first !

Hi there. I had a little chat with your partner yesterday and answered a few of her questions. But here Im posting a few things I think are important.

I dont do many instances nowadays but as I saw there are always a few players seeking for groups on the LFG panel. Your girlfriend told me that you do instances together and only need dps for that so it shouldnt be a problem finding a few. Especially that Morpheus, Pangloss and me in the guild are all lvl 70 bored dps players.

I did many pugs back in last May and June when was gearing up my priest for Karazhan and I could find a group every evening. Things have changed though as the vast majority of players have been to Karazhan and everybody who are into raiding do heroics, Kara or raids now I guess.

I cant really tell you how this server is compared to Zenedar. I havent noticed any bigger group from a special country.
There are idiots everywhere and its sometimes pure luck how many you run into in one evening. As for myself Im building this guild to surround myself with nice players so that I dont need to put up with random weirdos.

Bg queues are short, horde usually win except in AV where we loose 80% of the time in this battlegroup. Hopefully 2.4 will help us a bit.

So as I told yesterday too, Id suggest you to make alts here, level up a bit in the guild, hang around in Org or in Shattrah. (Pangloss can portal you there) Then if you like the server and the guild (and we also like you ;-)) you can transfer your mains.

Have a nice one,

R

Hi all,

For those of you that have met me already know a bit about me, but for those who i havent met just thought i'd introduce myself.

I started playing wow just 2 months ago, and never played it before, so i am very much a beginner learning the ropes.
So please try not to laugh too hard when i ask you all silly/obvious questions, and i will ask lol :)

I only get chance to play a few hours a week at most due to my horrid shift pattern at work (I'm a staff nurse if you are wondering), and i also have a social life. I know this is frowned upon in the wow world, and i'm putting measures in place to sort this problem out

Several member have been very generous so far and given me weapons and kit to help me along, and its very much appreciated, and if i can return the favour or help anyone out just wisper/mail me.

See ya all soon

Good Evening,

thought I should register whilst I await on the trial for TBC downloading.

I just reactivated my European account a few days ago after a very long absence from sickening myself with the game. I played on the US servers for ages to point I had one level 70 raiding and working on a Alliance Shaman who I got to 60.

I was pretty hooked on the game and played as long as I could in respect of "to the early hours of the next working day". As well as mincing off my Mrs it was also starting to take it toll on me. So I jacked it in for the best part of 6 months.

This week I decided to play on a more closer to home server and timezone and re-actived my Euro account. This was one of the recomended "Normal" servers, so seemed as good as any other.

At the moment I am working on my horde hunter who has just reached level 21 and so far pretty happy. Thinking about rolling a BE Mage, as I miss a lot of there neat abilities. Now I am just looking to have fun and not squander to much of my free time on Warcraft.

So about me:
Real name is George
Age: 26
Location: Scotland, UK
Job: IT Support
Engaged with my wonderful Fiance in our hoose.

You can find more about me on Bebo:

Look forward to speaking to you all :)

Hello, :)

After reading your post on the realm forums, I am very interested in joining.
It’s just the kind of thing I have been looking for and I love nothing more than meeting new friendly people and having a laugh.
I get a lot out of the game by helping people and when I get stuck into a guild and find a place of where I’m happy I’d do a lot to help the people in it.

I have played the game since the beginning and id have to say I have never really got that stuck into raiding, I like the PvP aspect of the game more.

A bit about myself:

I play mostly in the evenings and at the weekend. I’m 20 years old and live in England.
Atm my access to the Net is limited as I have just moved house and having a bit of trouble with the connection.

Thank you for your time.
Shell.
